Release Athens 2025 welcomes Avenged Sevenfold on Saturday June 7th at Plateia Nerou. The legendary Californian band are getting ready for their first ever performance in Greece, a historic night that their diehard fans, and metal fans in general, have been dreaming of for a very long time. With over 20 million records sold worldwide and two consecutive No. 1 albums on Billboard 200 (2010’s “Nightmare” and 2013’s “Hail To The King”), Avenged Sevenfold have established themselvs as one of the most important and successful acts in the music world over the last 25 years.
Formed in 1999 as a metalcore band, M. Shadows, Synyster Gates, Zacky Vengeance, Johnny Christ and Brooks Wackerman's musical identity quickly evolved beyond the confines of the metal scene. Their breakthrough came with the release of “City of Evil” (2005) and the anthemic single “Bat Country”, and the rest is history.
A7X (as they are known to Deathbats, their hardcore fans around the world) have gone on to dominate with their next releases, racking up billions of views and streams and leaving a prestigious legacy that has secured their place in every prestigious list of the best metal bands of all time.
Beyond their great songs, however, Avenged Sevenfold are equally known for their spectacular live shows, selling out arenas and headlining the world’s most prestigious metal and rock festivals. And now, after years of waiting, the time has come: On Saturday June 7th, the Greek audience will finally have the chance to experience the magic of A7X, to experience live the anthems that defined a generation, and to be part of an historic night that will never be forgotten.

Palaye Royale took on its current form in 2011 and consists of 3 brothers: Remington Leith (vocals), Sebastian Danzig (guitar) and Emerson Barrett (drums). They describe their music as "fashion art rock" with influences ranging from Brit-pop and glam rock to the sound of The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Libertines and My Chemical Romance.
Even before the release of their first album, the band had managed to build a fan base with great singles such as “Morning Light” and “Get Higher”, which received more than 20 million views on YouTube and went on to win MTV's Musical March Madness competition against the likes of Coldplay and Linkin Park. Their debut "Boom Boom Room" (produced by James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins) was released in two parts, in 2016 and 2018, but everything changed with the release of "The Bastards" (2020), where they proved that this is a band that knows no boundaries and is about to conquer the world. The follow-up was even more impressive as their fourth album, the almost cinematic “Fever Dream” (2022), was met with critical acclaim and the band embarked on a hugely successful world tour.
On Saturday June 7th, having now released their confident fifth album "Death or Glory", Palaye Royale come to Release Athens 2025 to present their biggest show in Athens, filled with all their big hits like "Lonely", "Little Bastards", "Mr Doctor Man", "Dying In A Hot Tub" and many more.
